Kudos for getting into Haaretz! I have been voicing a similar sentiment in response to the rise of Mamdani and his allies. It's disingenuous to just point fingers without taking responsibility for this government's agency in creating a fertile environment for the rise of anti-Israeli politicians.
Max Naumann and Hans-Joachim Schoeps were both Jewish supporters of Nazism who founded organizations that sported a few thousand members. The mechanism of purification, of rescue from the haters' gaze, is always the same: turning in bloody rage on fellow Jews. Theobald created the template that would be repurposed for future blood libels and would drive countless pogroms, fake trials and even expulsions in the ensuing centuries.

There are more Jews who support Anti Zionism in America then there are Jews who support the Lokud vision for the future of Israel. And most Anti Zionists ultimate goals were echoed by people like Martin Uber and Judah Magnes.
To compare them to Nazi supporters not only does them a disservice, it also minimizes both moral challenge and rebuke that the Anti Zionists provide. Whatever the Zionist vision looks like going forward must contend with the moral and ethical answer to "What is the plan for the Palestinians"? If the answer continues to be 1 State with the Palestinians permanently disenfranchisedt and/or ethnically cleansed (Which is THE plan in Israel right now), then Anti Zionisms answer (1 State with Equal rights for all people) will always be more popular.
The entire Reform Jewish movement was explicitly against a Jewish State until the late 1930's. Technically, the entire Ultra Orthodox movement is still non-Zionist, if not explicitly Anti-Zionist. This includes Haredim living in Bnei Brak and Jerusalem TODAY. Am Yisrael is one thing. Eretz Yisrael is another. And Medinat Yisrael is yet another thing. While most Jews are Zionist, many are not and that's been the case since the 1950's. Before that time most Jews weren't Zionists at all.

Israel is central to Judaism. Observant Jews cannot be anti-Israel. It’s that simple.
