Nuance is good but does she distance from the antisemites on her side or just those from the other side? You mention people like Abdulhawa have completed the union with the antisemitic right. These things make me think you view antisemitism as the purview of the right, something extraneous that leftists sometimes join with, but that’s not correct. Leftists, like Abdulhawa, are commonly antisemites, and their antisemitism is integrated with their leftism, they’re not leftists who sadly got too chummy with the right.
Oh please! Saying that Occasional-Cortex isn’t as bad as Ilhan Omar because she isn’t nearly as antisemitic is like saying Goering was nicer than Himmler because he wasn’t in the SS. Both of them are illustrative of everything that’s wrong with the Democratic Party.
So excited that she didn’t call for our genocide? Maybe Israel should to apologize - to AOC - for defending itself? Why do the Jews have to nurture our opponents?
And what “horizon”? Don’t tell me: a two state FINAL solution creating an independent “Palestinian” state! What an original idea. But they already had a state - in Gaza - and things didn’t turn out great, did they.
She’s not our ally or friend and she never will be.
The Democratic Left has made antisemitism the litmus test and even attending a synagogue is viewed with horror.
Fortunately, while the DSA antisemites continue to rise in the Democratic Party, antisemites are getting excluded in the Republican Party, as MJT, Tucker Carlson can attest.
Didn't AOC also vote to fund the iron dome a few years back?
I'm not a fan. But we need to purge anti-semitism in the Democratic party or this non-Jewish liberal independent will sit out from voting for any candidate that flirts with anti-semitism.
I’m willing to concede that it is possible AOC could be reasonable, but I don’t think she gets much credit for criticizing a partisan opponent. Saying that a partisan opponent is bad is about the cheapest thing she can do, even if she gets some criticism from the horseshoe caucus. Saying nice things about MTG would be used against her in a future primary, and the charge would be “allies with Republicans” not antisemitism.

If AOC becomes a Zionist, any kind of Zionist, she will not progress politically.

Any politician who equivocates on the question of the ongoing
genocide in Gaza and the Israeli butchery in Lebanon ought to be
shunned by the electorate. It’s a question of basic morality that
should transcend politics.
It's option pieces like this that convinces people the Israel lobby control Washington!
It's comments like yours that convince people you are stupid.
What a dumb reply, but the point stands dumb propaganda will always backfire!

Sorry Eli. Based on this piece, you have zero credibility.
Yes, she is different. But is she different enough?
Were the elections of Mamdani-endorsed candidates legitimate? Was Mamdani’s election stolen?

Eli, this is painfully naive. Even a month ago, it was cringe.
None so blind as he who will not see....

I get what you’re saying but AOC is going to have to break with DSA if there’s any chance of her truly being an ally to Israel.
She is not with DSA. She is with the Justice Democrats.

She also attended the screening of Oct 7 footage for Congress--I can't find a list of attendees but I think she was the only squad member to do that?
